Superstar singer Chris Brown and John Dean of the Auracles brand designed their original large-format Astro Boy – Nami sculpture for the historic Go As Astro Boy art project, an official ToyQube x Astro Boy exhibition in Guangzhou, China. Standing 5.25 feet tall Nami celebrates Osamu Tezuka’s iconic manga hero with a mesmerizing texture inspired by topographic maps. Now, the Astro Boy – Nami makes the jump from life-size sculpture to coveted collectible.

The Astro Boy – Nami polystone art toy stands 12″ tall and faithfully translates the original design into this smaller, more approachable format. The stylized elevation maps that flow across Astro Boy form a striking 2.5D texture that is sure to catch the eye. Impressive head-on, Nami’s textures pop with a perceived motion when viewed off angle. The figure comes in a fresh custom box with a clear red translucent lid emblazoned with ‘Auracles’.

The figure is being launched in a series of drops. Following it’s sold-out soft Complex launch, Astro Boy – Nami will be available at DesignerCon in Las Vegas (11.15 – 11.17) from ToyQube (Booth #903) for $325 each. Chris Brown and John Dean will be signing at the booth — scheduled has yet to be announced. An online release will follow the DCon drop.
