On Monday, March 10, 2025, as part of the activities celebrating World Intellectual Property Day on April 26, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MCI), through its Legal Affairs Department, announced the launch of the third edition of the Legal Essay Competition on Industrial Property, focusing on the theme :
“The Importance of Protecting Geographical Indications in Promoting Local Products: What Strategy for Haiti ?”
This competition is open to students of Law, Administration, Political Science, and International Relations who have completed at least two (2) years of university studies.
Prizes :
– 1st prize: 200,000 Gourdes + internship
– 2nd prize: 150,000 Gourdes + internship
– 3rd prize: 100,000 Gourdes + internship
The MCI strongly encourages eligible students to take this opportunity to further their understanding of industrial property and its impact on the country’s economic development.
