US: Balfour, the art deco hotel in Miami Beach, has reopened as the first property outside of the UK to join Morgans Originals under Ennismore.

Originally opened in 1940, the 82-room boutique property has been redesigned by Bigtime Design Studios in collaboration with Ennismore.

The reopening introduces Cleo, an eastern Mediterranean restaurant led by award-winning executive chef Camila Olarte. It provides courtyard dining and a weekly lineup of neighbourhood-focused programming including Wine Wednesdays and Sunday brunch.

Monthly events will feature collaborative dinners with female chefs, masterclasses, and curated shopping pop-ups.

The cafe SoFi Coffee, set to launch later this summer, will bring ethically sourced coffee from Imperial Moto and a menu of artisanal pastries and wellness offerings.

Balfour’s updated rooms feature midcentury elements, art deco artwork, hardwood or herringbone floors, and sustainable bath amenities. New, fully-stocked in-room bar carts will provide Lavazza machines, cocktail kits, wine buckets and a selection of snacks.

Property amenities include a plunge pool with original terracotta mosaic tiles, a rooftop deck with city views, complimentary bicycles, and more than 2,000 square feet of event space.

Balfour marks the first international hotel (outside of the UK) to join Morgans Originals, followed by Luura’s first hotel in Paros set to join the collection next year.

The hotel will also join Ennismore’s Dis-loyalty programme, offering members 20 per cent off first stays, 50 per cent off just-opened hotels, and a free barista-made drink daily.
