George Groves predicts the winner of Chris Eubank Jr. vs Conor Benn II

Former super-middleweight world champion, George Groves, gave BetVictor his expert take on this Saturday night’s showdown at Spurs’ stadium between bitter rivals Chris Eubank Jr. (35-3, 25 KOs) and Conor Benn (23-1, 14 KOs), live on DAZN.

Their family rivalry dates back to the 1990s, and last April the next generation reignited the Eubank-Benn saga when they clashed at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium in north London.

It was Brighton boxer Eubank who was awarded the win at ringside after 12 thrilling rounds, and now the born rivals are set to lock horns again, just over six months later on November 15.

Eubank struggled to make weight last time, forced to pay a huge fine to Benn, so will there be issues on the scales again this time? Benn only managed to win four rounds despite the welterweight delivering such a monumental performance, so will he be improved enough to win this time?

Now 37, George Groves started off with a bit of rant about the state of boxing at the moment, “There’s no stars in British boxing at the moment. No stars. The biggest names are Benn and Eubank, and neither have and nor are likely to ever win a world title, so then if your profile exceeds your achievements, it’s influencer boxing, isn’t it?

“Eubank should have retired after the last one. If it’s not just about money, and you’re fighting for feelings, memories, and experiences, you can’t beat what he just did. He beat his nemesis in a stadium grudge match that was close, he had to dig deep and left a bit of his soul behind, but he got the win. He should have sailed off into the sunset.
