Red Dead Redemption Coming to Netflix, iOS, Android, PS5, Xbox Series, and Switch 2 on December 2

Red Dead Redemption is coming back in a big way. On December 2, both the original game and Undead Nightmare will land on modern consoles and, for the first time, on mobile devices and Netflix. The release includes free upgrades, progress transfer, and a handful of quality improvements.

The two games pick up right after the events of Red Dead Redemption 2 and follow John Marston as he tries to close the door on his violent past. Undead Nightmare, the horror spin-off, throws him into a frontier overrun by zombies. Both titles include all the single-player content and the extra material from the Game of the Year Edition.

Mobile and Netflix Release

This is the first time Red Dead Redemption goes portable in a proper way. iOS and Android versions come with touch-friendly controls, and Netflix subscribers can download and play the game as part of their membership at no extra cost.

Upgrades for Modern Consoles

PS5 and Xbox Series X|S players get smoother gameplay at 60 fps, sharper image quality, HDR, and resolutions up to 4K. On the Switch 2, the game takes advantage of the new hardware with DLSS, HDR, mouse support, and the same 60 fps target.

Free Upgrades and Save Transfers

If you already own the PS4 version, the old Switch edition, or the digital backward-compatible Xbox One release, you won’t have to pay again. All owners can update digitally for free. PS4 save files carry over to PS5, and Switch players can continue exactly where they left off when they move to the Switch 2.

These updated versions were developed with Double Eleven and Cast Iron Games. They will also appear in the GTA+ Games Library and the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog on December 2.
