A Serious Upgrade To Your Workday

The Philips 34B2U6603CH is as ultrawide as it’s model number, 34″ of 3,440 x 1,440 VA panel with a variable refresh rate that peaks at 120Hz and a 1500R curve.  That’s decent for gaming, but as KitGuru’s testing showed it is not the ideal monitor for fast paced action.  That is not what makes the display interesting though, instead it is the connectivity the true ThunderBolt 4 connection offers.

The monitor has a built in 5MP camera and two 5W speakers which is very handy if you don’t have those peripherals at hand.  If you do, the display offers 96W charging over the ThunderBolt 4 connection, two additional USB-C ports, one with 15W charging and one being a secondary upstream port and two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type A ports .  In addition on the side is another USB-C port with 45W charging and two more USB-A, one also a Smart Charge port.  That gives you more connectivity options that your average docking station, especially when you add in the 2.5Gbit Ethernet port, audio jacks, two HDMI 2.0, and DP 1.4.

That’s not all either, Philips including a retractable headset stand just to round things out.  This ThunderBolt 4 display would be great on a desk, just plug in your laptop and away you go.  With that secondary upstream port, at the end of the day you could just switch inputs and be connected to your gaming desktop without getting up.  Behold the review in full here.
