Space Concordia launch update – weather delays (Updated)

The launch window for Space Concordia’s Starsailor rocket suborbital launch is open, however the current weather is preventing a launch attempt.

Weather in the Mistassini area currently includes rain showers today and tomorrow during the launch window, with a possibility of thunderstorms.

A source reports to SpaceQ that the likeliest earliest launch attempt could be Sunday, August 10 when the weather improves. The weather window currently looks good between Aug. 10-12.

The Space Concordia team was able, according to our source, perform “a critical pre-launch cryo test” Thursday night.

Update August 8, 2025 – 4:30 p.m. EDT: SpaceQ heard from Oleg Khalimonov, Program Lead, Space Concordia that a possible launch could happen Monday. As well Oleg said “we’ve conducted 2 wet dress rehearsals, with two more scheduled for this weekend.”

As Space Concordia works towards a suborbital launch as early As August 11, 2025 they are conducting a series of wet dress rehearsals. Here is one of the tests. There is no sound. Footage provided to SpaceQ by Space Concordia.
