The Flame-Throwing Robot Dog Can Be Purchased For $9,4k
Throwflame, an Ohio-based flamethrower manufacturer, has introduced an innovative product in the year 2024: the Thermonator, a robotic quadruped equipped with a mounted flame thrower. Priced at $9,420, this interesting creation combines advanced technology with an element of surprise at its affordability.
Weighing 26 pounds, the Thermonator boasts an ARC flamethrower capable of projecting fire in a 30-foot stream. Powered by gasoline and featuring a one-hour battery life, it comes with additional features such as a laser sight, lidar mapping, and remote control functionality through a dedicated mobile app.
Originally based on the Unitree Go1 quadruped robot, the Thermonator has been modified to accommodate Throwflame’s flamethrowing capabilities. The company asserts a range of potential applications for their product, including wildfire control, agriculture management, ecological conservation, entertainment special effects, and snow and ice removal — However, some observers have expressed concerns about its potential for misuse, given its ability to project flames on demand.
Throwflame emphasizes the versatility and novelty of the Thermonator, billing it as the “first-ever flamethrower-wielding robot dog.” Despite the eyebrow-raising nature of such a product, the company offers free shipping as an added incentive for potential buyers.
In addition to the Thermonator, Throwflame also markets a flame-throwing drone known as the TF-19 WASP, expanding their range of fiery innovations.

PUBG takes a page from Fortnite, brings back ‘nostalgic’ original map Erangel
The classic PUBG: Battlegrounds map Erangel that started the battle royale craze will be coming back for a limited time next month, PUBG Studios announced today.
Fortnite: Battle Royale was released in 2018 in the thick of PUBG‘s outrageous period of hype and popularity, and now it looks like PUBG will return the favor by taking some inspiration from Fortnite, too.
“We’re taking it back to where it all began–but with a few modern tweaks!” PUBG Studios said in a new blog post announcing the return of the map. “Erangel Classic preserves the essence of the earlier version of Erangel, its distinctive appearance and atmosphere, all while delivering the enjoyable gameplay experiences that players have grown accustomed to.”
As part of Erangel Classic’s return, the original map will also include the classic foggy and rainy weather that appeared at random, the return of bench weapons on the starting island, and even the vintage world map, minimap, match start timer, and “tacky font and graphics” that the studio is calling “a nostalgic journey that transports you to the past.”
The classic map will also feature classic, reduced recoil, and the almighty Tommy Gun will be found in care packages once again. So basically, it’s like being teleported all the way back to the game’s heyday of 2018 when it was at its jankiest state in early access.
PUBG truly did bring about the era of battle royale games. And then came Fortnite, and soon Apex Legends, and before we knew it, the BRs were all the rage. Their prevalence has died down a bit, but many still exist and continue to be updated to this day, such as Warzone and many others.
Erangel Classic will return to PUBG on May 14 but will only be available for two weeks and it will disappear again on May 28.

Washington mother accused of stabbing 4-year-old son 41 times and dumping body on side of highway
A mother in the state of Washington is accused of stabbing her 4-year-old son 41 times and then dumping his body, which was wrapped in a blanket, on the side of a highway, authorities said.
Janet Garcia, 27, was formally charged on Friday with first-degree murder in the death of her young son, Ariel Garcia, in Everett, Washington. She was arraigned on Monday when prosecutors argued the number of stab wounds showed the attack against Ariel was “prolonged,” the Everett Herald reported.
Although investigators initially identified 16 “sharp force wounds,” an autopsy later revealed there were 41 stab wounds and concluded to boy died of “homicidal violence,” reported Law&Crime. Preceding the boy’s death, Ariel was at the center of a custody dispute between his mother and grandmother, KOMO reported.
According to court records, Ariel’s grandmother filed a petition for guardianship two days before she reported him missing on March 27 under “suspicious circumstances.”
The boy’s body was discovered along Interstate 5 in Pierce County during the evening of March 28.
His grandmother wrote in the affidavit seeking custody, “I love my grandson, and I want to protect him from whatever his mom is capable of while she is on drugs. He trusts me and feels safe with me. Since I have cared for Ariel all these years, I am already aware of his needs.”
Sadly, she proved to be spot on with her analysis. Garcia is “not capable of parenting” while on drugs and has been exhibiting “very violent and unpredictable” behavior, the grandmother cautioned in the petition. Garcia is being held on a $3 million bond at the Snohomish County Jail.

Multiplayer and battle modes for Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble detailed
SEGA has revealed new details on multiplayer and battle modes for Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble, both of which feature local and online play and a host of features.
In Battle Mode, up to two players locally or up to 16 players online can play together as they battle their way across five different modes. You can also have up to 15 bots (16 players in total) join you.
You can race against other players and reach the goal before they do but be careful because if you fall off the stage, you’ll have to start again at the last checkpoint.
With Banana Hunt, the goal is to collect as many bananas as possible. There will be a Banana Cloud that will randomly appear and rain down lots of Banana Bunches, and during the last 30 seconds of the match, Fever Time will activate and Banana Bunches will appear all over the stage.
Ba-BOOM tasks you with passing a bomb to your opponent and rolling far away before things go kaboom. If you’re not holding onto a bomb by the end of a round, you’ll be rewarded with points. Whoever has the most points after five rounds wins.
Then, there’s Goal Rush, a team-based mode. Here, the objective is to roll through goals to gain points while working together to outscore the opposing team. At the end of the match, each team will receive points for every goal that matches their team color.
Robot Smash has you destroying bots. In this mode, two teams will compete against each other by hitting giant robots. How much damage you do depends on the weight of your character and how fast you’re moving. The team with the most points at the end of the match wins.
In each of these modes, you will also encounter item boxes. Roll into one, and you’ll be given one of many different items such as banana peels to make someone slip, a bat to knock your opponent away, a missile you use to blast opponents, and a heavy ball that will slow down anyone it hits. Some are even unique to certain characters.
Alongside these competitive options, the game’s Adventure Mode allows up to four players to team up in cooperative play, either online or locally.
