Verdansk’s triumphant return has totally reignited the Call of Duty: Warzone community—and the excitement isn’t slowing down. Warzone season three Reloaded drops on May 1, bringing a wave of fresh and returning content.

From crucial map changes to the long-awaited arrival of Ranked Play, there’s a lot to dig into. Here’s a breakdown of all the key changes in the mid-season update.

Train Station access and moving train

The Train Station in Warzone reopens, bringing back nostalgia from its original debut in Modern Warfare’s 2019 season five. The inside of the covered footbridge and the mezzanine-level shopping area of this POI can now be accessed.

Additionally, the Verdansk Express—the infamous loot-packed moving train—is back on track. There are plans to have it player-controlled in the future. For now, it runs a wide loop along the rail lines, offering plenty of high-stakes opportunities for those brave enough to hop aboard.

High Value Loot Zones

Originally introduced in Modern Warfare 3, High Value Loot Zones are now popping up across Verdansk. These special areas highlight familiar POIs where you’ll find a boost in loot quality—more cash, stronger weapons, and upgraded gear—giving you a solid head start if you land there early.

New weapon: Ladra SMG

The Ladra, which many will recognize from its connection to the Spectre, is a new SMG that packs a fast fire rate and solid recoil control, putting it in contention with some of the mid-range meta picks. However, its base damage is on the lower side, so running an extended mag is a must.

A new conversion kit transforms the Goblin Mk2 AR into a fully automatic weapon that fires explosive rocket rounds. This could be a real game-changer in Verdansk, especially with helicopters and other vehicles often giving teams a major upper hand.

New vehicle: Triumph TF 250-X

This sleek motocross bike is built for speed and agility, perfect for navigating Verdansk’s rougher, off-road terrain. It’s a great pick for solo players or duos looking to stay on the move and off the radar.

Big Game Bounty and Train Recon contracts

The Big Game Bounty contract targets the top fragging player in the lobby, putting a bounty on whoever has the most eliminations at the time. Take them down, and you’ll score a nice cash reward plus a 20-second Advanced UAV to give your squad a serious intel edge.

On the other hand, the Train Recon contract functions like a standard recon, except this time, the data upload point is conveniently located on the moving train. That means no need to hunt for a station, but holding the objective is much trickier with the train in constant motion and more exposed to enemies.

Other gameplay features

Although they weren’t highlighted in the Warzone season three Reloaded blog (but mentioned in the season launch blog), the Exterior Ascenders, Specialist Perk, Portable Decontamination Station (PDS) field upgrade, Bunker Buster killstreak, and more Public Events are all expected to make their way into Verdansk.

Warzone Ranked Play on Verdansk starting in Season 3 Reloaded

Verdansk is officially joining Battle Royale Ranked Play for the first time in the map’s rich history. Players can join in trios squad, battling it out against 49 other teams across the classic map for top placement in a 150-player lobby.

You’ll earn Skill Rating (SR) by surviving longer, picking up eliminations, and knocking out objectives. The SR you gain from eliminations also scales based on the rank difference between you and your target, so taking out higher-ranked players pays off even more. Seasonal rewards are up for grabs based on your achievements and rank at the end of the season.
