Jevgenijs Aleksejevs vs Ismaël Seck
MightyTips ambassador Jevgenijs “The Hurricane” Aleksejevs (17-0-0) will face Ismaël Seck (13-8-2) on May 3, 2025, at the AAA Fighting Series 5 fight night at the Millennium Event Center in Braunschweig, Germany.
In September 2024, Aleksejevs won his first title, the IBO European middleweight champion belt, beating 34-year-old Misto Abdulaev from Germany with a TKO in the second round in Canals, Spain.
A former kickboxer and K-1 European champion, Aleksejevs converted to boxing after a severe leg fracture and has not suffered a loss since 2013, showcasing an impressive run of 17 wins, ten of them with a knockout. He ranks 74th in the world in his weight category on BoxRec.
Jevgenijs is known for his excellent tactical performance, speed, and cool head. He prefers counter-attacks, effectively controlling distance, and using a sharp jab. Since 2023, Aleksejevs has been acting as the ambassador for MightyTips, a website providing free sports predictions. The bookies favour him at 2/5 against 7/4.
Aleksejevs: “A win here will open doors to bigger titles for me”
“I have been preparing thoroughly. We focused on pressuring the bigger, taller opponents. On working constantly in the ring to not give them space to move. On body work, constant jabs, and constant pressure, at medium-close range. But, of course, much will depend on the situation in the ring. The opponent has excellent endurance. He has never been knocked out in his career.”
On May 3, a real test of his professional maturity awaits him.
“My thoughts are calm, and I feel good. I’m switching from sparring and intense training to lighter sessions. I’m very satisfied with my preparation. Very often, I sparred 12 rounds with three opponents in a row. And I have been doing this for four weeks straight. I did A LOT of rounds in this camp.”
“This fight is important for me because after it, doors to big titles will open for me. This is a truly serious opposition and a good test for me.”
Seck: “He will feel like a rookie against a grown man”
Ismaël Seck is a former IBO Continental Middleweight champion and IBF International belt contender. He won the IBO belt in 2024 against Anas El Abid from Germany and defended it by defeating Donjuan van Heerden from South Africa. The same year, he lost the IBF title fight to Italian boxer Etinosa Oliha.
Seck uses an aggressive, assertive style, emphasising close combat and physical pressure. He is taller than The Hurricane (191cm vs. 183cm), which makes him dangerous in the ring and gives him a potential advantage at distance. The Frenchman ranks 112th in the world in the middleweight division.
He said: “I know Aleksejevs is unbeaten, but I feel he has not been truly tested. Let us see how he copes with an experienced boxer like me. I am like an old dog, I promise he will feel like a rookie against a grown man.”
“I’ve seen some of his videos. He’s good. But how will he react when the going gets tough? You know, when the going gets tough, the strong come first. Here I’m the strong one. I fought in Germany. I lost, but I realised my mistakes and won’t repeat them. Alekseev is in for a big surprise.”
