Norwegian Cruise Line’s Pride of America and Norwegian Epic will be renovated just in time for summer this year. The enhancements will range from the addition of a reimagined water park for kids to an expansion of the adults-only Vibe Beach Club and additional accommodations.
Norwegian Epic
Following the completion of Norwegian Epic‘s three-week dry dock on May 8th, the top deck will have some noticeable enhancements with more outdoor experiences. Renovations include a new hot tub on deck 18 and a refreshed Kids’ Aqua Park that replaces Splashgolf and provides more fun-in-the-sun activities for both adults and children.
Passengers can also enjoy an expansion of Vibe Beach Club, which is replacing Posh Beach Club. It will offer an additional hot tub as well as more lounge chairs and new private cabanas. The dry dock plans also include the addition of eight new staterooms — a combination of balcony cabins and oceanviews.
Starting May 8th, Norwegian Epic will operate a variety of nine, 10, and 11-night cruises from Civitavecchia (the port for Rome) to ports including Santorini and Mykonos, Valletta, Naples, Catania, and Livorno.
Following a season in Europe, Norwegian Epic will return to San Juan, Puerto Rico and offer roundtrip seven-night southern Caribbean cruises to Tortola, Antigua, Barbados, St. Lucia, St. Maarten, and St. Thomas.
Pride of America
From May 3rd to 31st, Pride of America will receive upgrades including the addition of a new Starbucks location in the atrium on deck 5. The line will also be adding equipment for guests to play pickleball in the ship’s existing sports court.
Pride of America will also be getting new accommodations: 12 new club balcony suites and three interior staterooms on deck 12. Splash Academy, the kids’ club for little cruisers ages three to 12 and Entourage, the teen club, will be relocated to deck 6 where the previous library, internet café, and chapel were located. The ship will be adding a Library and Card room in the spot where the Shuffles Card Room was.

Upon completion of a nearly three-week dry dock, Pride of America will return to Honolulu to continue to operate the world’s only seven-day inter-island Hawaii itinerary. The itinerary provides nearly 100 hours of port time for travelers to explore the natural beauty of four Hawaiian islands in a week’s span, and includes overnights in Maui and Kauai.
