US: Luxury property The Nickel Hotel will soft launch on 1 May in downtown Charleston, South Carolina, owned and operated by Method Co., a Philadelphia-based hospitality and development firm.

When the five-story hotel officially opens in late spring it will feature 50 rooms and suites, a rooftop bar and lounge, and an interior courtyard. It aims to attract both leisure and business travellers.

All rooms come with full kitchens, a smart TV, washer and dryer, and fully stocked mini bar. Some rooms provide a balcony too.

Method Co. developed The Nickel Hotel in partnership with Capital Square, a real estate investment firm.

Designed by Method Studios and Morris Adjmi Architects, The Nickel Hotel features vintage and modern furniture, custom lighting, and curated art works and objects throughout.

The Nickel Hotel marks Method Co.’s second development in the city following The Pinch, a luxury boutique hotel situated down the street at King and George Streets
