With a six-year licensing round and strengthened fiscal frameworks, Angola has seen a rise in upstream M&A activity and renewed investor confidence. The country’s ambition to sustain production above one million barrels per day beyond 2027—while scaling up non-associated gas development and domestic refining—continues to attract financiers and operators alike.
