Royal Caribbean is thrilled to reveal an extraordinary array of new dining and entertainment options aboard its latest mega cruise ship, Legend of the Seas, set to launch in July 2026. This third Icon-class vessel promises an unparalleled vacation experience, featuring exclusive performances of the Broadway musical “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” and an immersive, railway-themed dining adventure. Legend of the Seas is designed to delight guests with innovative offerings and beloved favorites, ensuring every journey is filled with excitement and wonder.
Following the successful launches of sister ships Icon and Star, Legend will bring back many popular Icon-class features. Guests can look forward to six giant waterslides, more than 20 vibrant bars and lounges, the breathtaking floor-to-ceiling ocean views of the Royal Promenade, and the serene open-air Central Park, which boasts over 30,500 real plants and a variety of charming restaurants. While maintaining the same impressive size as Icon and Star, at 250,800 gross tonnes with a capacity for 5,610 guests, Legend of the Seas will elevate the culinary experience even further with 28 distinct dining destinations, one more than its predecessors. This expanded selection will offer a diverse range of flavors, from Japanese street food and traditional American bites to exquisite Italian delicacies.
Among the exciting new exclusive features are the Royal Railway immersive dining experience, first introduced on Utopia of the Seas. This unique journey will transport diners along the ancient Silk Routes by train, blending entertainment, food, and technology into a five-course expedition of flavors and history through China, India, and Italy. Additionally, the new Hollywoodland Supper Club, inspired by the golden age of Hollywood, promises an evening of glitz, glamour, sultry jazz, gourmet bites, and cocktails, guiding guests through a cinematic journey from 1910 to the 1950s.
The highlight of the entertainment lineup is the Broadway musical “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,” making its debut at sea in the ship’s Royal Theatre, bringing the magical world of Willy Wonka to life with sweet surprises. Accommodations will also see enhancements, including a redesigned Ultimate Family Townhouse suite, offering more spacious and personalized areas for both children and parents. Legend of the Seas will proudly be the first Icon-class ship to visit Europe, commencing with seven-night Western Mediterranean cruises from Barcelona, Spain, and Rome, Italy, with prices starting from £1,018 per person. Following its European season, the ship will head to the Caribbean for winter 2026, offering incredible destinations and adventure-packed experiences. Michael Bayley, president and chief executive of Royal Caribbean, enthusiastically stated that Legend of the Seas is set to deliver “our most legendary vacation yet,” combining cherished experiences with incredible new adventures for an unforgettable holiday.
