vivo just pulled the cover off the X300 series, and it’s… well, it’s a lot. Two phones: X300, smaller, easier to hold. X300 Pro, bigger, obviously for people who care about photography. Both run the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chip on OriginOS 6, which is fast, supposedly efficient, and doesn’t seem to melt under load (yet—haven’t tested that fully).

X300 Pro: Camera Madness

This phone is basically a photography toolkit. Triple rear cameras: 50MP Sony main sensor, 50MP ultra-wide Samsung, and a 200MP Samsung telephoto. Yes, 200MP. You can crop your photos more than you probably need and still get something decent. Main sensor has gimbal-style OIS. Front camera? 50MP. Zoom calls? Selfies? Basically covered.

Screen: 6.78 inches, 120Hz, HDR10+, Dolby Vision. Battery: 6,510 mAh. Charging: 90W wired, 40W wireless. IP68/IP69, so theoretically, yes, you can spill water on it (don’t test this on purpose). Weight: 226g—heavier than my lunch, but not a brick.

X300: Compact But Not Basic

It comes with a 6.31-inch screen and the same 120Hz LTPO tech. Battery is 6,040 mAh, which is smaller but still okay. Cameras: 200MP main, 50MP telephoto, 50MP ultra-wide. Front 50MP. It’s almost a mini Pro, minus the extra heft. Weight: 190g, thickness 7.95mm. Colors: Pink, Purple, Blue, Black. Nice options, if you care about standing out a bit.

Performance-wise, both phones feel snappy. Up to 16GB RAM, 512GB storage. Connectivity: Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth, NFC. OS: OriginOS 6 on Android 16. Smooth.

Pricing (Roughly)

X300 Pro: $745–$945 depending on RAM/storage. X300: $620–$845. Not cheap. Not crazy expensive either. You’re paying for cameras and decent performance, not just a name.

Quick Thoughts
vivo is basically saying: “don’t worry about spending $1,200—get this instead.” Compact or Pro, both feel premium. Camera enthusiasts, go Pro. Regular users, X300 is almost as good, lighter, easier to hold. And honestly, sometimes that matters more than megapixels.
