US: Development and management company Vertice Hospitality Management will expand its SingleThread hospitality brand in Healdsburg, California with the repositioning of the River Belle Inn.
The site was first built in 1895 as the home of American wine industry pioneer Isabelle Simi Haig and later transformed into a luxury bed and breakfast.
Most recently operating as the River Belle Inn, the property will rebrand as The Selvedge, A SingleThread Inn, when it opens in late 2026.
Exterior architecture will be led by Axia Architects with interior design overseen by AvroKO. Many of the fixtures, furnishings and finishes will be locally sourced or custom-made.
The inn’s grounds will be re-landscaped with an English influence, featuring a secluded herb and rose gardens as well as a wrap-around porch.
Amenities include a library, parlour, communal breakfast room and amenity area, coffee bar, and fitness centre with outdoor programming.
Each of the nine garden-view and riverside guest rooms, including a 2,000 square-foot, third-floor suite with a Miele kitchen, will be individually designed, featuring fireplaces and patios.
“The 68 Front Street address has a storied lineage, and the property is idyllically perched on the gorgeous banks of the Russian River,” said Tony Greenberg, co-owner and chief executive officer, Vertice Hospitality. “The Selvedge will welcome guests who want to experience all that Sonoma has to offer with a new immersive and deeply meaningful bespoke hospitality experience, orchestrated by the SingleThread and Vertice team.”
Vertice is a hospitality development and management company led by Greenberg and husband and wife Kyle Connaughton (chief culinary officer) and Katina Connaughton (chief agricultural officer).
The SingleThread brand currently includes a farm, restaurant and inn at 131 North Street in Healdsburg.
