This an invitation to you and your colleagues for a local tour of this one year old Archerfield Wetland Parkland. Hear from the “design and implemation” team from the Brisbane Sustainability Agency, plus colleagues involved in the 20 year lead up, floodplain researchers and local community leaders.
Why is this project noteworthy?
This site is a key early achievement in the implementation of the Oxley Creek Transformation program. Questions we will unpack include:
why is this site locally significant, wrt flooding, biodiversity , water quality and as a community asset and
what does it represent as part of a major corridor and regional landscape initiative?
What is being done at the Site?
We will see and hear about the elements in place and being planned from the Precinct Plan for this regional park
We will hear how the implementation is a mix of partnerships, staged planning and delivery
Also what scope has it as a local field laboratory on wetland, riparian corridor and floodplain management?
