Xiaomi has introduced the Redmi Watch 6 in China, expanding its lineup of budget smartwatches with a focus on display quality, performance, and ecosystem integration. Priced at 599 yuan (~$84), the watch is available in Misty Blue, Elegant Black, and Moonlight Silver color options.

The Redmi Watch 6 features a 2.07-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 432 × 514 pixels, offering a peak brightness of 2000 nits and a 60Hz refresh rate. Its ultra-narrow 2mm bezels contribute to an 82% screen-to-body ratio, while 2.5D curved glass provides added protection. The screen supports a full-color Always-On Display (AOD) operating at 5Hz, ensuring essential information like time and notifications remain visible even when idle.

The smartwatch incorporates a dual-button design, featuring a stainless-steel crown and a side button for quick access to various functions. Constructed from high-strength aluminum alloy, the case measures 46.45 × 40.03 × 9.94 mm and weighs 31 grams without the strap. The straps are quick-release and available in silicone or vegan leather variants.

Running on HyperOS 3, Xiaomi’s latest operating system, the Redmi Watch 6 delivers deeper integration within the HyperOS ecosystem, enabling smooth connectivity with smartphones, smart home devices, and even vehicles. Users can control home appliances, unlock compatible cars, and access interactive notifications. The device also supports the Xiao Ai voice assistant and allows Android users to reply to WeChat messages directly from the watch interface.

A 550mAh battery powers the smartwatch, providing up to 24 days of use in basic mode, 12 days in typical scenarios, and 7 days with AOD enabled. Charging is magnetic, and the watch includes a linear vibration motor offering more than 20 haptic feedback styles.

For navigation, the Redmi Watch 6 supports independent dual-L1 GNSS positioning, compatible with GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, and BeiDou systems. Health features include 24-hour heart rate monitoring, SpO₂ tracking, sleep analysis, stress monitoring, and women’s health management. The device is 5ATM water-resistant, suitable for swimming and shallow-water activities.

In terms of fitness, the watch supports over 150 sports modes, with automatic recognition for activities like walking, running, and cycling. Additional features include Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, music playback, voice recording, compass, weather updates, calendar sync, and remote camera control.

No official statement was given by the brand in terms of release dates or prices for other countries (including the US), at least for now.
