Huawei’s
latest software, HarmonyOS 6, is officially
launching its public beta. Back in June, there were reports about this update. Now, users can finally start testing it. This big software update is a major step for Huawei’s own operating
system.

It’s
important to know that this first list of devices is only for China. If you want to try the
beta, you’ll need to sign up through the My
Huawei app.

What’s New: Look and Feel

The biggest
changes in HarmonyOS 6 are in how it looks
and feels. Huawei completely revamped
the design with new, smooth animations that make everything feel faster.
You can now deeply personalize your phone with new lockscreen
customization options. They’ve also worked hard to make the basic user interface (UI) snappier and better
performing, so your phone should fly through tasks.

Smarter Than Ever with AI

A huge part
of this update focuses on Artificial
Intelligence (AI). HarmonyOS 6 is packed with smart features designed to
make life easier. Meet XiaoYi, the
new personal assistant. This assistant is super smart, knowing what you’re
doing, and gives you helpful info based on the situation. XiaoYi can even do things for you on its own,
like finishing tasks without you having to press a button.
