Aaron Goodwin learned of wife Victoria Goodwin’s alleged murder plot while filming an episode of Ghost Adventures.
“This next episode of #ghostadventures is when I got the FaceTime call from the cops,” Aaron, 49, wrote via Instagram on Wednesday, October 22. “They were in my house & told me what she did & she was arrested.”
The paranormal investigator continued, “I won’t be watching this episode cause I don’t want to relive that night again & what happened before the call. This lockdown is insane & disturbing with what happened during our investigation.”
The episode dropped on Discovery+ on Wednesday. Aaron and his costars Zak Bagans, Jay Wasley and Billy Tolley were investigating an abandoned medical complex in Downey, California. While Aaron and Wasley, 43, were setting up cameras in a hallway, Aaron learned the authorities were at his home. Aaron looked visibly upset while looking at his phone and Wasley asked repeatedly if he was “alright.”
“Bro, the police are at my house,” Aaron said in the episode. “I gotta go outside.”
Wasley didn’t want to stay in the building by himself, so he joined him outside.
“I don’t know what’s going on,” Wasley told the camera after Aaron walked off to take the phone call. “Aaron is getting a phone call or something. He said the police are at his house and he said he had to go outside.”
Bagans, 48, revealed in a voiceover that it was when Aaron learned about Victoria’s arrest. He added that they would not be sharing any more footage from the moment out of respect for Aaron.

Earlier this year, Victoria was arrested on charges of soliciting to commit murder and conspiring to commit murder. She was accused of being in contact with a Florida inmate named Grant Amato and wanted to hire someone to murder Aaron while he was traveling to film his show, Ghost Adventures, the previous year.
Aaron and Victoria tied the knot in August 2022. Days after news broke of her arrest, Aaron filed for divorce.
While Victoria initially denied the allegations, she later agreed to a plea deal and pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit murder in April. Victoria was convicted and sentenced to 36 to 90 months in prison two months later.
One day before the Ghost Adventures episode aired, Aaron gave an update on how he was handling everything amid his divorce.
“Thank u for all reaching out & being awesome, but unfortunately, I can’t talk about anything yet,” Aaron said in a statement shared via his Instagram on Tuesday, October 21. “I could tell you guys I’m doing OK, but I would rather be honest. Just know I’m not doing good at all & everyday is worse with all I’m learning all the time.”
Aaron shared this was the “worst year” of his life.
“They say in time everything gets better but I just want the divorce to be over so I can move on with my life,” he continued. “Honestly, I probably couldn’t make it through an interview without being in tears and I’m just not ready yet.”
