TECNO Shot On CAMON – Contest Highlights
- Over 10,000 submissions from 56 countries
- USD 37,000 total prize pool
- Grand Prize of USD 10,000 for the TECNO Photography Master

A Platform for Global Creativity
“This year’s Shot On CAMON contest shows remarkable growth from the first edition,” said Nigel Atherton, Editor of Amateur Photographer magazine. “Creators from emerging markets brought unique stories to life with confidence and individuality. Celebrating Life Through Three Themes
From May 1 to September 30, 2025, participants shared photos under three expressive themes:
- Snap Every Pulse – capturing life’s rhythm and emotion
- Snap All Fleeting Bonds – celebrating connection and companionship
- Snap Any Motion – showing energy, movement, and creativity in action
Grand Prize: “High Spirits” by @micheal_the_colorist
The TECNO Photography Master title went to Nigerian photographer @micheal_the_colorist for High Spirits, a joyful shot taken with the CAMON 40 Pro. The image captures friends mid-air, their colorful clothes standing out against a deep blue sky, celebrating youth, freedom, and unity.
Snap Every Pulse
- Gold Prize: A young girl running down a dusty Nigerian street, her white dress glowing in the sunlight.
- Silver Prize: Four playful dogs perched on a wall, showing life’s everyday rhythm.
- Bronze Prize: Traditional grain pounding, a timeless image of community and persistence.
Snap All Fleeting Bonds
- Gold Prize: Children playing in the mud, their laughter radiating warmth and friendship.
- Silver Prize: Kids chasing each other along a Malaysian beach at sunset.
- Bronze Prize: A boy gently caring for a goat, reflecting compassion and trust.
Snap Any Motion
- Gold Prize: A sepak takraw player caught mid-leap at dusk, showing strength and grace.
- Silver Prize: A cyclist performing an aerial stunt under shifting clouds.
- Bronze Prize: A dancer twirling in a red dress among city structures, creating poetry in motion.
What Comes Next
The winners will take part in the London Photography Tour 2025, an immersive experience to capture one of the world’s most photogenic cities while exchanging ideas with fellow photographers.
Their works will also appear in Global exhibitions, TECNO’s annual photo book, and the brand’s official online gallery. Through this contest, TECNO continues to celebrate the art of storytelling, showing how technology, creativity, and human emotion can turn simple moments into unforgettable images.
