Honor unveiled the Honor Magic8 and Magic8 Pro in China earlier this month. While these devices are indeed the brand’s latest flagships in the market, there is still one device set for release – the Honor Magic8 Ultra. The new smartphone will arrive at some later point, and to be honest, that shouldn’t happen before the year. Despite this, the leaks for the Ultra variant are popping out.

Honor Magic8 Ultra – The Brand’s True Flagship For 2026

The Honor Magic8 Ultra is coming with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, says a new leak. It’s not a big surprise, since this is Qualcomm’s fanciest processor available. The device will allegedly come with a quad-curved 6.71-inch LTPO OLED screen with 1.5K resolution. There will also be an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, and the device will also support 3D face recognition.

The Honor Magic8 Ultra will have a battery capacity that starts with the number 7 – yes, that’s the only detail we have so far. So it can be anywhere between 7,000mAh and 7,999mAh. Hopefully, we wil be on the larger side as we’re entering the age of super-battery smartphones.

In terms of optics, the Honor Magic8 Ultra wil bring a 50 MP camera with OmniVision’s OV50R sensor with ultra-high dynamic range. The phone will also get a new periscope telephoto camera, with about 200 MP resolution, according to some rumors. We expect a capable selfie camera to complete the package as well.

More Details Will Appear in The Coming Months

Although this leak is pretty extensive when we consider the phone is some months away from launch, there are still some missing parts. We expect more details to surface in the coming months, as the phone launch approximates. For now, we can keep our attention in the Honor Magic8 and Magic8 Pro that are set to make their global debut soon.
