American Cruise Lines has announced a new 15-Day Northwest National Parks cruise, set to operate roundtrip from Tacoma, Washington, starting in September 2026. This new itinerary is the latest addition to the company’s growing collection of U.S. National Parks cruises. The journey is divided into two parts: seven days of guided exploration through three spectacular national parks, followed by an eight-day cruise through the scenic waters of Puget Sound, Friday Harbor, and the San Juan Islands.
The land portion of the adventure features comprehensive visits to Mount Rainier, Olympic, and North Cascades National Parks. In Mount Rainier National Park, guests will visit iconic sites like Paradise and Reflection Lake, known for their panoramic views of the snow-capped mountain, as well as Inspiration Point and various waterfalls. Olympic National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, offers explorations of three distinct ecosystems, including Lake Crescent, the Hoh Rainforest, and the Pacific coastal landscape at Ruby Beach. North Cascades National Park, nicknamed the “American Alps,” showcases dramatic peaks, glaciers, and alpine lakes like the crown jewel, Diablo Lake, with opportunities for unforgettable hikes. The itinerary also includes visits to Hurricane Ridge and Deception Pass State Park.
The cruise segment is aboard American’s modern, 170-guest small ships, the American Constitution and American Constellation, which feature private balconies.
