NXT General Manager Ava is catching serious heat—and she’s not staying quiet about it.

After wrestling journalist Bryan Alvarez went off on her during Wrestling Observer Live, Ava delivered a sharp response on social media that had fans talking. The criticism started after the chaotic October 28th edition of WWE NXT, which saw Trick Williams and Ricky Saints throw the show into disorder. Alvarez slammed Ava’s on-screen character for rewarding Trick with a title rematch rather than taking disciplinary action, calling her portrayal in the storyline an embarrassment.

“I’m sick of the storyline that Ava is f***** incompetent. Like, she allowed the show in storyline to be ruined by these f****** guys. She didn’t do anything about it. Didn’t fine them, suspend them — nothing. She just let them f****** ruin the f****** show, and then at the end she just goes, ‘We gotta solve this problem. Trick, you’re gonna get a rematch for the title — Last Man Standing in two weeks,’ or whatever f****** show. I’m like, are you f****** kidding me? They ruined your goddamn show, and your ruling is that this guy gets a championship match? You’re rewarding this f****** guy. I was like, this show sucks!”*

But Alvarez didn’t stop there. He went after Ava’s entire presence on the brand, calling her the worst character in wrestling and tearing into what he sees as a nepotism-fueled role.

“The funny thing is… I’ll give Ava one thing. She is the most consistent character in all of wrestling, bar none. Consistently f****** terrible. And her gimmick is a lazy, Gen Z, out-there nepo hire who doesn’t ever wanna f******* work! Everybody else has to do all the work, and she’s gonna take credit for it.”*

It didn’t take long for Ava to clap back. Posting to Twitter, she responded with a short but sarcastic jab that fans quickly picked up on:

“man… i remember my first day on earth too”

The remark was clearly aimed at Alvarez, brushing off his rant by essentially calling him immature and out of touch. Ava’s no-nonsense reply shows she’s not here to be passive—even when the criticism gets personal. Whether fans agree with Alvarez’s take or see Ava’s character as part of the bigger picture, she’s not backing down.
