WWE ID isn’t wasting any time filling the void left by Kylie Rae—plans are already in motion to crown a new Women’s Champion after Rae’s emotional departure from the brand.

On November 17th, the promotion will head to Wrestling Open Rhode Island at Rhodes On Pawtuxet in Cranston, RI, where a new WWE ID Women’s Champion will be officially crowned. The company made the announcement on social media, teasing that “whoever wins the championship will be ID’d!!!”—a nod to the brand’s signature style.

“BREAKING… The new WWE ID Women’s Champion will be crowned on Nov. 17th at @WrestlingOpenRI at Rhodes On Pawtuxet in Cranston, RI!” WWE ID posted. “More info to come!!!”

While the competitors for the match haven’t been announced, the timing is no coincidence. Not too long ago, Kylie Rae confirmed her WWE ID contract would not be renewed, officially ending her run with the company. Rae had previously made history as the inaugural ID Women’s Champion during SummerSlam weekend but vacated the title just a month later due to pregnancy.

This major update also follows the departure of fellow ID wrestler Zayda Steel, leaving Zoe Sager as the only remaining female talent on the current roster. WWE ID may be a developmental offshoot, but this kind of real-time reshuffling keeps it anything but predictable.

Do you think Zoe Sager will step up—or could a surprise name walk away with the belt? Let us know who you’re betting on in the comments.
