Disney Cruise Line’s seventh vessel, the Disney Destiny, is scheduled to make its maiden voyage on November 20, following a christening ceremony led by godmother Susan Egan, the voice actress for Hercules. The ship, which has a heroes and villains theme, was previewed during a three-day voyage from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to Castaway Cay.

The Destiny features several highly themed, immersive experiences. A major highlight is the Haunted Mansion Parlor, a cocktail bar that continues the ship’s supernatural storyline with purple wallpaper, ocean-themed relics, and themed drinks like the presented “Chilling Challenge: My Way.” For entertainment, the ship debuts a one-hour stage production of Hercules, featuring impressive puppetry (including the six-headed Hydra), new musical arrangements incorporating R&B and gospel, and an overall celebration of the animated film’s songbook.

Adults can enjoy various themed lounges that pay homage to iconic villains. De Vil’s piano lounge features a distinctive Dalmatian-spotted white grand piano and props inspired by Cruella de Vil, while Cask and Cannon is a pub with a Caribbean twist that draws its design inspiration from original Pirates of the Caribbean attraction sketches. High-end dining is available at the adults-only Echanté, where a French menu is crafted by Michelin-starred Chef Arnaud Lallement. For family dining, Pride Lands: Feast of the Lion King offers a dinner and a show experience featuring live music and a performance retelling Simba’s story.
