AUSTIN, Texas—Hyatt Regency Austin announced the completion of a renovation of its 448 guestrooms and suites, along with its corridors, meeting facilities, and public spaces.
With this refresh, the property has introduced two additional guestrooms and three new dining concepts:
- Ripple & Roots, a signature restaurant with an indoor-outdoor bar experience, a patio on Lady Bird Lake, and expanded service at the remodeled pool and cabanas
● Cypress Grove, a restaurant and flexible dining space, specializing in breakfast offerings in the mornings for all guest and supporting private catering functions for lunch and dinner
● Juniper Breeze Market, a grab-and-go market cafe with a variety of freshly prepared, on-the-go food and beverage
“As Austin continues to be a premier destination for business and leisure travel, special events and the local community, we’re pleased to welcome guests to the revitalized Hyatt Regency Austin, which ushers in a new era for our hotel,” said Jeff Donahoe, the property’s general manager. “By elevating every facet of the guest experience, from refreshed guestrooms to exciting new dining concepts, we’re better positioned to cater to all types of travelers visiting Austin with impeccable hospitality and amenities that reflects the best of the city and Central Texas.”
The enhancement project began in early April 2025, and Ealain Studios provided interior design services for guestrooms, public spaces, meeting spaces, and venues to create one cohesive guest experience throughout the property.
Lobby
The refreshed lobby includes a glass-encased layered metal mesh cactus sculpture with features from the opuntia and barrel cacti from the Central Texas landscape. The space has also been updated with new reception pods and lounge seating to accommodate meetings and business travelers, leisure travelers, and small group meetups.
Guestrooms and Suites
Each redesigned guestroom and suite has been refreshed with new, natural-tone carpeting, hand-stitched accent pillows, and art pieces inspired by Austin’s natural and creative spirit. Each room also includes a new luggage bench, desk chair, and table lamp. In addition to built-in desk areas, guests will find a lounge area in king and double queen rooms, and a dedicated workspace complete with a chaise and table for flexible use. In the bathrooms, new fixtures and warm wood accents complement expanded vanities topped with quartz countertops.
Additional updates include subtle geometric tilework and expanded vanities. The refresh also adds two new guestrooms, including the Lake View Residence suite. Displaying views of Lady Bird Lake and the Austin skyline, the residential suite offers a bedroom, a full bathroom with a soaking tub and a separate shower, and two private balconies. The living area includes a convertible sofa, and the kitchenette provides bar seating for three.
Dining Concepts
Located on the second-floor mezzanine overlooking the bar area of Ripple & Roots, and with panoramic views of Lady Bird Lake and the Austin skyline, Cypress Grove is a restaurant and lounge highlighting local flavors with a breakfast buffet and weekend brunch.
Ripple & Roots, the new restaurant adjacent to the reception area, serves lunch, happy hour, and dinner with flavors representing Austin food traditions. The menu includes reimagined Tex-Mex cuisine showcasing authentic, locally sourced, sustainable ingredients from community purveyors. The beverage program highlights Central Texas distilleries with craft cocktails based in tequila, mezcal, and bourbon, such as smoked Old Fashioneds, mezcal martinis with smoked almond-stuffed olives, and prickly pear margaritas. A selection of Texas craft beer and wines is available as well.
Framed by high ceilings, the space—with seating for 146 and an additional 32 stools at the new 50-foot indoor-outdoor bar—offers guests indoor and outdoor views. The menu and mealtimes extend to the revitalized patio for an outdoor dining experience. Ripple & Roots is led by Chef de Cuisine Perla Alvarado in partnership with Executive Chef Kevin Patton.
The new Juniper Breeze Market offers meals, snacks, and beverages—including specialty coffee drinks, beer, and wine—all prepared by the hotel’s culinary team. Menu items include freshly baked goods, sandwiches, and salads for all-day dining, along with a curation of products from local small businesses such as Stoke Juices.
Meetings and Events
Renovated venues like the Zilker, Texas, and iconic Foothills ballrooms with 17th-floor views of downtown Austin and Lady Bird Lake offer versatile options, while the Zilker Terrace provides a covered outdoor reception space. Enhanced by a selection of diverse food and beverage experiences from the onsite culinary team, the spaces are equipped with modern amenities and support services from the hotel’s dedicated team, such as A/V, energy-efficient LED lighting, projection, and sound systems customized for every conference and event. Hyatt Regency Austin also offers chairs and tables, linens, stages, dance floors, podiums, high-quality HD camera systems, custom staging and backdrops, and professional lighting for customizable needs, along with a new 10×18-foot LED screen wall for custom greetings and hotel activations.
