While the latter is the brand’s flagship, we all know, the former is part of a China-only series that still matters for global consumers. So far, most of the OnePlus Ace phones have served as a base for the OnePlus R cost-effective flagships. The OnePlus Ace 6, for instance, is expected to become the OnePlus 15R. While we wait for the global variant, a new device is about to make its entrance in the Ace series – The OnePlus Ace 6T.
OnePlus Ace 6T Coming With Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 and Large Battery
OnePlus started teasing its OnePlus Ace 6T variant on its Chinese social media. The teasers confirm the design with round edges, a squircle camera, and a 165Hz refresh rate. Yeah, once again, the brand will go beyond the usual with a very smooth display.
The teasers also promise a large battery life and high performance. While we don’t have the numbers yet, it’s safe to guess we will see another impressive battery capacity. The brands keep pushing the limits of Si-C battery technology, and the Ace 6 already has a 7800 mAh battery. While the Ace 6 has the Snapdragon 8 Elite, some rumors indicate that the 6T will go for the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, launched alongside the 8 Elite Gen 5 in September.
Will OnePlus Suprise Us With A New Flagship Killer?
The smartphone market is so full of leaks that real surprises are rare. Most specs show up long before launch day. The OnePlus Ace 6T, however, seems to be breaking that pattern and holding on to details that usually slip out. Because of that, its launch might actually catch people off guard.
