Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. (NCLH) has confirmed a newbuild order with shipbuilder Fincantieri for the construction of a third vessel in the Prestige-Class series for its ultra-luxury brand, Regent Seven Seas Cruises. This new ship is scheduled for delivery in 2033, reflecting NCLH’s sustained growth strategy within the high-end luxury segment.

This third vessel will follow the debut of the Seven Seas Prestige in 2026 and a second Prestige-Class ship in 2030. The class is designed to build upon the brand’s legacy of all-inclusive, ultra-luxury cruising. The first ship of the class, Seven Seas Prestige, will be 40% larger than previous Regent ships but accommodate only 10% more guests, achieving industry-leading space-to-guest and crew-to-guest ratios.

The Prestige-Class marks Regent’s first new ship class in a decade, succeeding the Explorer-Class. The ships are noted for their design, featuring 12 distinctive categories of all-balcony suites, including all-new designs and the massive Skyview Regent Suite. Onboard, guests can enjoy what the company calls “Epicurean Perfection” through 11 dining experiences, including the new mezze-style Mediterranean concept, Azure, alongside signature favorites. NCLH’s CEO, Jason Montague, emphasized that the order reflects confidence in the growing demand for Regent’s luxury offerings and strengthens the long-standing partnership with Fincantieri.
