Margaret Colin, who played Blair Waldorf’s mom on Gossip Girl, revealed that she recently had a “really wild” reunion with her former costar Blake Lively—and the meet-up was entirely by chance.
“I ran into Blake on the street, which was hysterical because she’s such a big star now,” the 67-year-old told Us Weekly in an interview published Nov. 18. “It was a big bear hug on the streets of New York, and she was just having lunch in a cafe.”
To make it even more surprising, Margaret had only been back in the Big Apple for a little awhile at the time.
“That was a couple of months ago after I came back from shooting in Vancouver,” she said. “What are the odds?”
And Margaret provided insight into what the pair discussed during their encounter as well, saying, “She’s a happy mom, and she’s doing really good.”
