POCO Pad M1 Appears on Geekbench With Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 SoC

POCO will continue its adventure in the tablet segment of tablets with a new contender. The POCO Pad M1 seems to be crossing the barriers before its launch and keeps being spotted online. The device got certification in October and has now been spotted in the Geekbench AI database. As usual, the listing confirms some details about the new slate.

The POCO Pad M1 will carry the powerful Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 SoC. It’s mid-range performance, but still, it will deliver in most tasks unless you’re into heavy gaming. The listing also confirms 8 GB of RAM, which ensures a good multi-tasking performance. The model that ran Geekbench had Android 15, which sadly indicates the slate will come with the already outdated Android 15 instead of Android 16.

Interestingly, this device isn’t exactly a new face. Although it comes with a new POCO disguise, this might be, in fact, a rebranded Redmi Pad 2 Pro. To recall, this tablet launched in September with decent specifications. It has a 12.1-inch LCD screen with 2,560 x 1,600 pixels of resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The Redmi iteration sells in 128GB or 256 GB of Internal Storage. There is an 8 MP rear camera and an 8 MP front-facing camera. The device also has a 12,000mAh battery with support for 33W wired and 27W reverse wired charging.

At this point, the launch date is not revealed yet, but the POCO Pad M1 is likely imminent. Interestingly, POCO is also doing some rounds with the POCO F8 series, which may become official within the next few weeks. Considering the importance of these devices, we wouldn’t be surprised if the brand schedules a big POCO event where the POCO Pad M1 also gets some minutes in the spotlight, alongside another anticipated tablet – the POCO Pad X1. If that’s the case, we wil certainly hear more in the coming days.
