🔶 Visa may integrate cryptocurrencies into its payment system
Visa has been interested in the cryptocurrency industry for the past few years. Visa CEO Alfred Kelly said last week that the company’s payment network could eventually integrate digital currencies. Kelly called Bitcoin digital gold and noted its growing influence in the global economy. In addition, holders of digital assets, if they also act as customers of the payment giant, will be able to convert cryptocurrencies into fiat money and use plastic cards to withdraw them from ATMs.
🔷 Elon Musk tagged #bitcoin on his Twitter account and it went up
On the morning of 29 January, the cryptocurrency bitcoin appeared in Twitter trends. Around the same time, the famous businessman Elon Musk, who has recently topped the list of the richest people in the world, put the #bitcoin tag on his profile and wrote a short tweet “In retrospect, it was inevitable”, thus clearly hinting that he decided to invest in cryptocurrency. Soon after, the rate of the main cryptocurrency went up sharply from $32,000 to $38,000 per coin.
