Xiaomi revealed a few days ago that it will launch the POCO F8 Ultra and POCO F8 Pro on November 26 across global markets. Both devices are familiar faces, bringing specs and design that are reminiscent of the Redmi K90 series that debuted in China early this month. The brand has been sharing some key tidbits about the device through its social media, but the leaks seem to spread faster than any teaser. Today, a new detailed specs sheet leaked, revealing what we can expect from the POCO F8 Ultra.
POCO F8 Ultra Specifications and Design Appear Ahead Of The Launch
Xiaomi confirmed that the new POCO F8 lineup will replace the current POCO F7 Pro and F7 Ultra before the end of 2025. As the leak suggests, the difference between the two devices is led by the processor. The POCO F8 Pro brings the Snapdragon 8 Elite, while the POCO F8 Ultra uses the new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. Most of the specs come from the reliable leaker Sudhanshu Ambore. According to him, Xiaomi toughened up the Ultra’s build. It reportedly performed better than the Pro in EU drop tests.
While the POCO F8 Ultra clearly borrows some specs from the Redmi K90 Pro Max, it won’t keep the massive 7,560 mAh battery. Instead, it will come with a 6,500mAh battery complete with 100W charging and 50W wireless charging. According to the tipster, the Ultra lasts about 4.5 hours longer than the Pro on standard tests. However, in normal use, the difference seems to be smaller. The phone is still slightly heavier than the Redmi K90 Pro Max.
The phone will retain the same camera hardware as the K90 Pro Max. There will be three 50 MP lenses for the main, ultra-wide, and a 5x optical zoom telephoto camera. Since the phone has the same design as the Redmi K90 Pro Max and even borrows the Jeans-styled color option, we believe that the display details will be the same. The phone will bring a 6.9-inch OLED display with 2,608 x 1200 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate.
