Carnival Cruise Line has launched its new advertising campaign, “Find Your Fun Again,” featuring Emmy-winning actor, author, and humorist Nick Offerman. This campaign is the first major initiative executed under the cruise line’s newly established brand platform, “Carnival Is Calling,” which debuted earlier this month on November 1.

Offerman, known for his signature blend of wry humor and a deadpan persona, was selected to be the campaign’s “unlikely hero of fun.” The messaging strategically attempts to address a perceived “fun deficit” across America, balancing his serious public image with a hidden sense of mischief. The advertisements were intentionally co-written in collaboration with Offerman’s team of Parks and Recreation writers to ensure the humor is authentic to his style.

Carnival Cruise Line’s Chief Marketing Officer, Amy Martin Ziegenfuss, explained that Offerman’s personal mission—which encourages creativity and reduced screen time—aligns directly with Carnival’s vision of inspiring people to get out, reconnect, and find their fun. Offerman joins a long and prominent lineage of Carnival celebrity endorsers, including notable figures such as Kathie Lee Gifford, Shaquille O’Neal, and Guy Fieri, who have historically helped establish Carnival as a mass-market consumer brand.
