Manchester United have reportedly reached a major decision about the futures of Radek Vitek and Harry Amass as they continue to do well at Bristol City and Sheffield Wednesday respectively.

Vitek and Amass impressing

Vitek and Amass both sealed temporary moves to the Championship during the summer transfer window. Following United’s failure to clinch European football, it became clear that youngsters would struggle for first-team opportunities, hence the club sanctioned loan exits for a number of them.

Like Vitek at Bristol City, Amass quickly rendered himself one of the most valuable members of the squad at Wednesday.

The United goalkeeper has started all 15 of Bristol’s appearances this season. Amass, on the other hand, has been named in the starting XI in all of Wednesday’s 11 games since joining the club.

There were suggestions that United were contemplating recalling Amass in January but a report covered by The Peoples Person relayed that he will be allowed to continue with the Owls.

Meanwhile, Vitek recently declared his desire to play for the United first team and potentially challenge Senne Lammens for a starting berth.

As the talented duo gradually progress, Samuel Luckhurst of The Sun has revealed that they are under consideration to be added to their first team squad next season.

United make decision on Vitek and Amass

Luckhurst writes, “United consider Championship loanees to have a genuine chance of forcing their way into the senior squad.”

“The club have started to insert sell-on clauses and buy-back options into academy sales, ensuring they obtain a second and potentially higher fee in the future.”

It’s understood that United are looking to offload Altay Bayindir and Vitek could replace the Turkey international and provide competition for Lammens.

If Vitek clamours for senior minutes and has to be sold, United will shift him quickly to make as much profit as possible from parting ways with him.

United are back in action on Monday evening when they welcome Everton to Old Trafford. The meeting kicks off at 8pm.
