Sapphire Princess Returns from Drydock Featuring Fresh Enhancements and New Specialty Restaurants

Makoto Ocean Sushi, by the acclaimed Chef Makoto Okuwa, now offers his authentic Edomae-style sushi at sea. Following its successful debut on other Princess ships, this venue provides a premium menu featuring exquisite specialties such as truffle salmon and toro tartare, complemented by unique handcrafted cocktails. Seafood lovers and sushi enthusiasts are sure to find this a remarkable addition. Complementing this, the award-winning Crown Grill Steakhouse has also been introduced, taking over the former Savoy Dining Room. This guest favorite is celebrated for its premium aged beef, chops, and fresh seafood, all served in an elegant setting with attentive service, reinforcing its reputation as one of the “Best Cruise Ship Steakhouses at Sea.” Both specialty dining experiences are priced at $60 per person and are included for guests who opt for the Princess Premier package, offering great value for these enhanced culinary journeys.

Looking ahead, the Sapphire Princess is set for exciting itineraries, including voyages to Mexico, followed by enriching seasons in South America/Antarctica, the Mediterranean, and Northern Europe in 2026. A truly historic moment awaits in March 2027, as Sapphire Princess will reunite with its sister ship, Diamond Princess, in Japan. Both ships, originally built in Japan, will embark on Princess Cruises’ most expansive Japan season ever, running from March through December 2027. Sami Kohen, Princess Cruises Vice President of Food and Beverage, expressed pride in these enhancements, highlighting how they will elevate the culinary journey across all upcoming itineraries and prepare the ship for its remarkable seasons ahead. These additions underscore Princess Cruises’ commitment to providing exceptional experiences and creating unforgettable moments for its guests.
