Top of the Ticker: Legendary actor Martin Sheen was the highlight of this year’s MSNBC Live ‘25: This is Who We Are, a live community event. Sheen sat down with anchor Nicolle Wallace for a live taping of The Best People with Nicolle Wallace podcast. He spoke about his lifelong dedication to political activism and the necessity of humanity needed in today’s politically charged climate. Sheen spoke about the actions of the Kennedy brothers during the height of the Cuban Missile Crisis in the 1960s, saying they saved the world because they were in touch with both their own humanity and that of their enemy.

He added, “And if we don’t find our own personal humanity, we cannot possibly find it or see it in each other.”

New Election Source: ABC News, CBS News, CNN, and NBC News will join Fox News and hundreds of other news outlets in using the Associated Press’ election data and information for their individual election coverage in 2026 and 2028. The networks will still make race calls independent of the AP, but they will rely on the wire service for its comprehensive coverage of election results. Previously, the four networks used election data from Edison Research.
