There are official ways to play Fortnite on a Mac, using one of three cloud gaming services. But you can also visit GitHub to install the real native mobile Fortnite on any Apple Silicon Mac …

Epic Games directs you to cloud gaming services.

Is Fortnite available on Mac? No, but you can play Fortnite on Mac via cloud gaming with Xbox Cloud Gaming, Nvidia GeForce NOW, or Amazon Luna.

However, if you have an Apple Silicon Mac, then you can download the latest Fortnite IPA and patch it so that it works. You’ll find everything you need linked on GitHub.

Requirements:

  • Have Sideloadly installed on your mac
  • Mac must be on MacOS 15.1 or later
  • A mac with an M series chip. (Fortnite mobile will never work on an Intel Mac)

It should be noted that you do have to follow the instructions extremely carefully. There are threads on Reddit where people have run into difficulties and it turns out they had omitted one of the steps. The GitHub instructions cover common errors you might experience, with instructions for resolving these.

You will also need to log in with your Apple ID to allow the app to be signed without a developer license. This is something people have been doing using Sideloadly for a considerable time, but you do obviously need to make your own call on this.

If you need additional help, there is also a Fortnite Mac Discord channel.

AppleGamingWiki founder Andrew Tsai has a YouTube video where he shows the gameplay on Mac, explains the downsides, and runs through all of the installation instructions. You can watch this below.
