The Netherlands: Luxury hotel group Rosewood Hotels & Resorts has opened its latest property in Amsterdam, marking the brand’s debut in the Netherlands.
Housed in the former Palace of Justice and following a decade of restoration, the building has been transformed into the Rosewood Amsterdam. Designed by Studio Piet Boon, it features 134 guest rooms including five ‘houses’ offering a residential-style stay.
Dining venues include the restaurant Eeuwen, designed by Sagrada and led by chef David Ordóñez, as well as a cocktail bar Advocatuur and a lobby lounge.
The Asaya Spa also features a pool, sauna, steam room and five treatment rooms, as well as a 24-hour fitness centre and Pilates studio.
Bibi van der Velden has been appointed as the hotel’s house jeweller. Guests staying inHouse 020 can wear designs of their choice throughout the duration of their stay. Other immersive experiences include guided garden walks through Piet Oudolf’s De Tuin, culinary workshops, and mixology sessions at Advocatuur. A private salon boat, also styled by Studio Piet Boon, is also available for trips on the canal.
