LIVE: PM Modi Meets Defence Chiefs, Pakistan Fears “Imminent” Attack | Vantage With Palki Sharma

Pakistan conducted “unprovoked” firing in Jammu marking fifth consecutive day of ceasefire violation by Islamabad. This time, Pakistan targeted multiple locations along the Line of Control (LoC) including Kupwara and Baramulla districts, as well as the Akhnoor sector. India responded in a “measured” and “effective” manner. Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif said that an attack from India is “imminent”. During an interview, he said, “There is a likelihood that India will attempt an incursion in Pakistan and will engage Pakistan militarily. That is a possibility, a very clear and stark possibility. It cannot be ruled out.” At UN’s programme for terror victims, India called out Islamabad for “fueling global terrorism”. Meanwhile, a new video from the day of deadly Pahalgam attack which claimed the lives of 26 people shows a tourist on a zipline along with an operator as the other tourists were saving themselves from deadly attack by four attackers. Pakistan initiated ceasefire violation on April 24 after India suspended the Indus Waters Treaty. Since then, Pakistan has conducted multiple cross-border firings along LoC.
