A classic character is coming back.
Season four of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone is just around the corner, and it looks like we’re in again for a mix of new content and returning fan-favorites, which has been the theme since the resounding return of Verdansk.
Here’s a quick rundown of everything we know so far about the upcoming season, including when it’s dropping and what kind of content you can expect.
When is the Black Ops 6 and Warzone season 4 release date?
Activision, through the official Call of Duty X account, has confirmed that BO6 and Warzone season four is set to go live on Thursday, May 29. This date aligns with the conclusion of the season three battle pass timer. As usual, new CoD seasons are scheduled to drop at 11am CT / 9am PT / 12pm ET.
What’s coming in BO6 season 4?
Season four is shaping up to be a big one, with plenty of teasers and leaks hinting at what’s on the way. The biggest highlight of the seasonal update is the return of one of the franchise’s iconic characters and the main antagonist of the Black Ops storyline, Stitch.
The season three outro cinematic released by Treyarch earlier dropped a clue about Stitch’s comeback. Turns out, Adler did not shoot him dead in the final cutscene of Black Ops Cold War. He’s still alive and locked up in an unknown prison, and that means he’s going to show up as a playable operator this season.
We also expect Adler to finally be available as a standard operator (not just the premium “Hunter” operator skin, which was a reward for purchasing the BO6 Vault Edition), joining Stitch on the roster.

Weapon-wise, the cinematic showcased the LC10 SMG from Cold War and the FFAR from Black Ops 3, both of which could be coming to the game. There’s also a new multiplayer map teased—Camp Zeta, set in Iceland, which was briefly shown on a board during a conversation between Adler and other agents.
Leaks are also pointing to the return of some classic gear, including the Olympia shotgun, the Revolver pistol, Brass Knuckles melee weapon, and even the Grim Reaper scorestreak.
For BO6 Zombies fans, a new map called Janus Towers is rumored to be launching, along with the return of the fan-favorite Grief mode, which pits teams against each other in undead survival.
And of course, as with every season, you can expect remastered multiplayer maps, throwback weapons, new scorestreaks, updated equipment, and crossover store bundles. But beyond this content, I hope, like many other players, that CoD can finally come up with a solid anti-cheat system, particularly for Warzone.
This article will be updated when official information about Black Ops 6 and Warzone season four becomes available.
