In its official blog page, the ESA announced that it’s now accepting applications into its Junior Professional Programme. This program is here to serve as a stepping stone for the next generation of space professionals.
Details On The Junior Professional Programme
This new Junior Professional Programme is designed to help lay a solid foundation for professionals who are looking to work with the ESA on a long-term basis. It is a four-year contract that will give its participants the needed guidance that will help them develop the necessary skills that will make them fit to work with the ESA.
To join this program, you’ll need to have a Master’s degree, 2–3 years of working experience, be a citizen of one of the ESA member states, associate members or a cooperating state like Canada.
There is also emphasis on the desire to work long-term with the ESA for those aspiring to join this program. Throughout this program, which will last for four years, participants will receive mentoring and professional training from experts in the space industry.

The ESA Junior Professional Programme Aims To Usher In The Next Generation Of Space Professionals
There are 15 open positions with this new program, giving more people an opportunity to join the ESA.
The ESA isn’t limiting applicants to the roles they apply for, as there will be constant rotation through various departments to get the full working experience. Applicants can also rest easy knowing that this program comes with a pay cheque, which the ESA says is competitive.
After filling out the online application, applicants will move over to the technical and behavioural assessment. This will be followed by an interview and then the final selection of the 15 candidates.
