Pakistan Violates Ceasefire Again, Seeks Russia’s Help to Ease Tensions with India | N18G

Pakistan violated the ceasefire for the eleventh consecutive night on May 4 by initiating unprovoked small arms fire, targeting multiple sectors along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir. The cross-border firing was reported in areas opposite Kupwara, Baramulla, Poonch, Rajouri, Mendhar, Naushera, Sunderbani, and Akhnoor. These repeated ceasefire violations have continued unabated since the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22, which resulted in the deaths of 26 people. In response, Indian Army troops retaliated in a precise and restrained manner, effectively countering the Pakistani aggression. Meanwhile, Pakistan’s ambassador Muhammad Khalid Jamali in Moscow has sought Russia’s help in de-escalating the crisis with India.
