Over the past few years, the research technology landscape has become increasingly crowded with a multitude of different survey platforms to choose from. Many of these platforms specialise in a particular type of research project: DIY/Agile, Employee & Customer Experience, Communities, User Experience etc. Askia’s position in the research technology landscape is as a general, full stack, end-to-end survey platform.
In no particular order, here are six reasons why you might want to take a look at Askia:
Capability
MR professionals have been using Askia’s products for over 25 years. The system is mature and that means the tools are packed full of features, many of which have been requested by our users over the years. You might not need these features every day, but just occasionally when you do, the feature will be there, ready and waiting to go.
We have a large library of question controls (all extensible with Askia’s ADX Studio) and a powerful scripting language allowing any type of complex survey logic and connections to external systems (via API calls). The vast majority of Askia’s clients are market research agencies – from large global groups, through to mid-sized independents, as well as small agencies with just a handful of employees. These companies have built their research systems and their business around Askia’s capable technology.
No ‘cost per complete’ (CPC) on web surveys
Askia has a very different business model to most of the competition – our charges are based on the number of surveys you have live at any one time, not on the number of survey completes you achieve. The number of completes is your business and not ours. We can do this because we work with clients who either look after their own infrastructures, or else we provide dedicated hosted solutions.
Mixed/Switch mode support
With falling response rates it is important to be able to offer a variety of different modes to reach your respondents. AskiaField comes with unique features to blend telephone, web, and face to face modes, to maximise the chances of ending up with a quality survey complete. Whether you are using CATI for recruitment to a web survey or calling up people who had previously started an online survey but did not complete it – switch-mode features are there to streamline these types of scenarios. And regardless of how many modes are used there is always just one project with one data set.
Strong analytics built in
Askia comes with world class data processing and reporting tools. There are offline and online options. Without doing any extra work, as soon as your questionnaire is finalised you can start looking at how you are going to analyse the results. The Askia analysis tools have an array of features for creating exactly the right numbers in the right places and suppressing data that does not need to be shown.
Askia’s clever use of ‘inverted’ data means that we can manage the largest surveys and there are ways to automate the data processing routines and the analysis. A number of Askia’s clients come to us just for our analytics and reporting products, after exporting from their own data collection systems. But the best efficiency comes from using Askia in an end-to-end process.
The Askia support team
Our technical support team is made up of Askia experts who have an average of over 14 years’ experience in either using or supporting the products. Askia’s pricing model includes unlimited support (provided standard training courses have been taken). Clients consistently tell us that the Askia support team is second to none. We track Askia’s support tickets for customer satisfaction and in the last year we have achieved a mean satisfaction score of 98.6% from 3991 tickets.
Askia is easy to do business with
The Askia pricing model is simple and easy to understand and clients like the fact that there are no hidden or unexpected charges once an agreement has been made. We offer annual and discounted multi-year contracts. We also offer the flexibility to burst up from the base annual license level, so if you want to increase the number of CATI seats, the number of web surveys ‘slots’, the number of Analyse users, etc on a monthly basis, you are quite welcome to do that for a small additional monthly fee.
And for new users we can offer extra flexibility at the start of your first contract, in terms of cushioning the cost of switching from an incumbent system to Askia, with discounts to offset some of the initial implementation or training costs or ensuring you are not paying for double software fees, during the switch-over period.
