Delmas : Youth Expo 2025
On Saturday, June 14, the Delmas Municipal Palace vibrated to the rhythm of creativity during Youth Expo 2025. The Ministry of Tourism is proud to have supported this initiative, which highlights the talent, commitment, and innovation of Haitian youth.
Rehabilitation of the Plaine-du-Nord Irrigation System
IOM is supporting the Ministry of Agriculture to rehabilitate the Plaine-du-Nord irrigation system. Together with the French Embassy in Haiti, the project aims to strengthen local food production, protect against extreme weather events, and promote the reintegration of deported migrants.
Launch of the RESPIRE Psycho-Educational Program
Leslie Voltaire, Presidential Transition Advisor, participated in the launch of the RESPIRE psycho-educational program at the Royal Oasis Hotel in Pétion-ville. This program supports the mental health and well-being of displaced children and adolescents living in camps.
UEH : Creation of a New Excellence Award
The Executive Council of the State University of Haiti (UEH) informs the university community of the creation of a new award called the “Award of Excellence for Contributors to Scientific Journals” (PECRS) of the UEH. This award aims to recognize, inclusively, UEH researchers who have submitted articles to the editorial boards of the university’s journals. It will be awarded annually to the lead authors of articles accepted for publication after peer review and having received a favorable opinion from the Scientific Council for the awarding of awards. Exceptionally, for the 2024-2025 fiscal year, contributions from 2021 to 2025 will be considered for the awarding of the prizes.
Ephemeral Ethnological Fair
On Thursday, June 12, for one afternoon, the residence of the Mexican Ambassador to Haiti hosted the Ethnological Salon organized by the National Bureau of Ethnology (BNE) and the Monnin Gallery to celebrate Haiti’s cultural richness. From the entrance of the residence to the courtyard, the public could admire rarely exhibited works by Lherisson Dubréus, Johny Sinéus, and Ronald Edmond, among others, as well as documents from Mexico, including the 1942 appointment letter of writer and politician Jacques Roumain as Haiti’s chargé d’affaires in Mexico.
Return to the Country of the President of the Transitional Council
On Sunday, June 15, 2025, Fritz Alphonse Jean, President pro tempore of the Transitional Presidential Council, returned to Haiti after participating in the Caribbean-Brazil Summit, held in Brasilia.
