Stand Tall, Be Grounded with Corn Flower Essence

Corn Flower Essence used to be an essence I used a lot and wrote about a lot on this blog. (I’ll include links to those posts below.) But I haven’t needed it so intensely since I started working at home about six or more years ago. That’s because Corn is the flower essence to use when the strictures of modern life feel unbearable to you. That includes working 9-5 (or worse, 8-5) in a fluorescent-lit office building and commuting to and from the job. I HATE it! I have always hated it. I still have to maintain office hours for my job even though I work at home. But somehow not needing to commute and being able to roll out of bed at 8:30 and start the work day while eating breakfast in my bathrobe relieves the tension a bit. Working part of the day outside on my apartment balcony helps even more. I like a longer view, particularly ones with birds in the trees nearby and my cats.

But recently I noticed that tension had slipped back in. Nothing external had changed. I couldn’t blame anyone else. But little bit by little bit I had tied myself into what felt like a straight jacket in regards to this job and saw no way out!

Interestingly, I did not think of Corn but I did think of a few formulas I use Corn in:

Recovery from Burnout and Exhaustion was the first to call my name. In addition to a few other flower essences that address fatigue, I use Corn for having more emotional backbone. It provides an ability to stand tall and be grounded at the same time.

I then turned to my formula for Increased Patience. In this one, Corn is used to help provide that same emotional backbone in the context of needing patience for a process that is taking longer than you wish.

And then, finally, I hit on an old favorite of mine: Doing New Things With Confidence. Figuring out how to do new things is an almost constant requirement on my job, and my resistance to the process was making my life hard. Within seconds of using it, I felt so much more grounded and relaxed. The things I need to learn aren’t that hard! (With the right attitude, it might even be fun.) In this one, Corn helps provide a steady groundedness despite the need to navigate change.

You can find Reiki-infused dosage strength Corn Flower Essence dropper bottles and unscented sprays in my Etsy shop. I also offer a scented spray version.

Flower essences are used to assist with mind-body-spirit interactions and individual results may vary. They are extremely dilute which makes them quite safe. But because so little physical substance can be detected in a flower essence solution, these products are presumed to work on an energetic or vibrational level—something that cannot be adequately tested by western scientific methods. Claims made by me, therefore, are based on personal experiences and the evidence of the combined multiple decades of case notes by Dr. Edward Bach as well as Healing Herbs and Flower Essence Services (the companies who make the ingredients I use in my products). This is not, however, accepted medical evidence or substantiated scientific evidence from a modern allopathic point of view. I am not a medical doctor or licensed healthcare practitioner.
