Russell Crowe and Henry Cavill are teaming up for a new movie!

On Friday (June 20), it was announced that the 61-year-old Oscar-winning actor will be starring opposite the 42-year-old Justice League actor in the remake of Highlander.

Highlander was released back in 1986 and followed immortal beings who hunted each other down in order to collect more power. Four sequels were made and three television series were produced.

Keep reading to find out more…In the upcoming remake, Russell will be playing Henry‘s mentor, which was played by Sean Connery in the original movie, according to Variety.

The remake was first announced almost four years ago when it was revealed that Chad Stahelski, who is the director of all the John Wick movies, will direct the new movie.

Earlier this year, it was announced that Russell will be starring alongside Aaron Paul, Nina Dobrev, and Luke Evans in the upcoming action-thriller Bear Country. Find out more about the project here!
