Booker T is focused on training the new generation of pro wrestlers both in Reality of Wrestling as well as WWE LFG. With that in mind, Booker T has now revealed he’s actually grooming his children to take over his business in wrestling.

While speaking to Metro UK, Booker T revealed that his 15-year-old twins are already showing signs of following in his footsteps. His son has a strong interest in professional wrestling, and his daughter is very athletic.

“Never say never. My son, he loves professional wrestling. My daughter, she’s very, very athletic. I never knew what I was going to do until I got into it, you know?”

While both kids seem well-suited for the wrestling world, Booker T believes they might be better off working behind the scenes. He’s preparing them to eventually take over his own promotion Reality of Wrestling, seeing the business side as more stable and less physically demanding. Even though he’s leaning toward a future for them backstage, he’s keeping the door open for whatever path they choose.

“I’m grooming them to be able to take over the business one day,’ he said. ‘From a behind the scenes perspective. That’s where the money is! Less bumps as well [laughs]. No man, never say never!”

Booker T said that the first time he got into a wrestling ring, it felt really familiar, like he had been doing it his whole life. After 35 years in wrestling, he has a lot of knowledge in his head that he can easily remember and use.

The WWE Hall of Famer wants his kids to learn the same way, but knows that everyone learns differently. Some people pick things up fast, while others take more time. That’s why he uses different ways to teach, so everyone can understand in their own way.

“The first time I got in the ring, it was like deja vu. It seemed like I had been in the ring my whole life,’ he recalled. ‘Being in the business for 35 years, I got so much like wasted knowledge in my head, I could just pull it up, boom.

I expect for them to be able to do it as well, and it’s just not like that. Everybody is so different as far as the learning curve… When I teach it, I try to have so many different philosophies.”

Booker T is clearly focused on the future of wrestling, and involving his children in his journey shows how he’s thinking ahead for both his business and his family. Whether his twins choose to wrestle or work behind the scenes, they’ll be continuing Booker T’s legacy and that’s all that matters in the end.

Would you like to see Booker T’s children step into the ring someday, or do you think their future is best served behind the scenes? Sound off in the comments.
