Recession, Trump Tariffs Lead to US Stock Market Losing $4 Trillion | Firstpost America | N18G

The United States stock market saw a $4 Trillion in market value being wiped off on Monday after President Donald Trump declined to rule out the possibility that the US economy was entering a recession. The S&P 500, DOW and Nasdaq also saw major hits and ended Monday in the negative. Meanwhile, markets across the world, particularly in Asia were also hit due to Trump’s comments and Tariffs. The stock markets in Japan, Hong Kong, South Korea and India ended the day in red on Tuesday. Meanwhile, White House officials have dismissed that the country is heading into a recession and have blamed the previous Biden administration for any weaknesses in the US economy. Analysts however are warning that Americans will now have to use their savings as the economy slows down.
