Official League is knocking it out of the park for a second year.

The brand is midway through its Local Legends capsule collection for Minor League Baseball (MiLB). It collaborates with rock bands and local teams to create a unique, baseball-themed capsule collection featuring apparel and headwear festooned with custom artwork that honors the artists and the hometown roots of the teams and musicians.

“Music and baseball are more than just pastimes — they share a powerful connection to place, nostalgia, and community,” says Monique Gilbert, VP of Music at Official League. “With the Local Legends series, we’re celebrating the artists and teams that define the unique spirit of their cities, bringing fans something truly special.”

In April, the company released its Fall Out Boy collection for the Iowa Cubs; Fall Out Boy is infamously from Wilmette, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago. In May, it released its Gaslight Anthem collection for the Jersey Short Blue Claws.

This month features Coheed and Cambria for the Brooklyn Cyclones, while July will see The Killers paired with the Las Vegas Aviators, and August matching flipturn with the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp.

In honor of the new collection, Coheed and Cambria lead singer Claudio Sanchez is throwing out the first pitch at Friday’s Cyclones game. Sanchez is a frequent fixture in the area and lives with his family in Brooklyn.

Last year’s collection matched the Worcester Woo Sox with alternative rock pioneers Dinosaur Jr., who spent the season celebrating the 30th anniversary of its album Where You Been, the Charleston RiverDogs with Band of Horses, and Mt. Joy with Reading Fightin Phils. “Charleston holds a special place in our hearts, and the RiverDogs embody the spirit of this vibrant city,” Creighton Barrett from Band of Horses said last year about the collaboration.

Editors at The Toy Book humbly suggest Good Charlotte for the Delmarva Shorebirds, Clutch for the Frederick Keys, which is an unaffiliated collegiate summer baseball team, and Jimmy Eat World for the Albuquerque Isotopes. (For better or worse, they could assign every MiLB team to a Warped Tour headliner.)

Official League also has a pride collection, made in collaboration with the National Women’s Soccer League Player’s Association (NWSLPA)
